Ina Lewis

Ina Ruth Lewis, daughter of the late Charles and Pearl Stevens Carlton, was born in Murray, Arkansas on August 30, 1924, and passed away at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri on September 14, 2010, at the age of 86 years and 14 days. She had lived in Morehouse until moving to Peoria, Illinois in 1952 where she spent many yeas. She returned to Sikeston a few months ago. On February 14, 1952, she was married to Crelle Lewis in Peoria, Illinois. He preceded her in death in December of 2009. Surviving are one son and spouse, Wallace Paul & Jodith of Canton, Illinois; one brother, William Carlton of Morehouse, Missouri; two sisters, Orlene Drake and Iree Lackey both of Morehouse, Missouri. She was preceded in death by one brother in infancy, charles Carlton, Jr. Friends may visit on Friday September 17, 2010, after 10:00 AM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Morehouse, Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Friday September 17, 2010, at 1:00 PM in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Morehouse, Missouri with Pastor DeWayne Coleman officiating. Interment will be in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Morehouse, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
