Imogene Montgomery

Imogene Montgomery, daughter of the late Joe and Viva Gardener Malone, was born in Tuckerman, Arkansas on September 5, 1920, and passed away at the Sells Nursing Home in Matthews, Missouri on September 4, 2013, at the age of 92 years. 11 months and 30 days. Mrs. Montgomery had been a resident of the Bloomfield area the past 73 years. She was a member of the Mr. Pisgah General Baptist Church at Aquilla. On August 11, 1939, she was married to Homer Montgomery in Arkansas. He preceded her in death on May 8, 1977 Surviving are one daughter, Barbara Rice of Bloomfield, Missouri; one son, Joe Montgomery of Columbia, Missouri; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by four brothers, three in infancy and J. B. Malone. Friends may visit on Friday, September 6, 2013, after 11:00 a.m., at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 6, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield with the Rev. Bob Holland of Bloomfield, Missouri officiating. Interment will be in the Walker Cemetery in Bloomfield with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
