Hugh Flippin

Hugh Flippin, son of the late John Fred and Grace Reed Flippin, was born in Flippin, Arkansas on December 20, 1924, and passed away at the Delmar Gardens Nursing Home in Chesterfield, Missouri on May 25, 2010, at the age of 85 years, 5 months and 5 days. He had lived in Dudley, Missouri before moving to Chesterfield, Missouri in 2005. He was of the Baptist Faith and enjoyed gardening and woodworking On September 30, 1945, he was married to Anna Mae Walker in Dudley, Missouri. Surviving are his wife, Anna Mae Flippin of Chesterfield, Missouri; one son, Tom Flippin of Bloomfield, Missouri; one daughter, Shirley Bohman of Chesterfield, Missouri; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and one brother, James Flippin of Clearwater, Kansas. Other relatives and friends survive. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy, Bernice and Lola; and one brother, Clifton. Visitation will be Thursday, May 27, 2010, after 10:00 AM at Watkins & Sons Funeral Service in Dexter, Missouri. Services will be held Thursday, May 27, 2010, at 2:00 PM in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri. Interment will be in the Bethany Cemetery near Campbell, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
