Hubert Ross

Hubert Lee Ross Hubert Lee Ross, son of the late Frank and Malinda Walker Ross, was born in Idalia, Missouri, on October 21, 1914, and passed away at his home in Jackson on November 25, 2009, at the age of 95. He had lived in Dexter most all his life before moving to Jackson in 1983. While in Dexter he and his wife owned and operated the Ross Sporting Goods Store. He was a member of the Lynwood Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. In 1939, he was married to Alberta Geraldine Tate in Bloomfield, Missouri. Surviving are his wife, Alberta Geraldine Ross of Jackson, Missouri; one daughter, Linda Valentine of Jackson, Missouri; one son, Eddie Lee Ross of St. Louis, Missouri; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, JC Caldwell of Florida; two sisters, Ethel Williams of Bloomfield and Doris Griffin of Sikeston, Missouri. Many other relatives and friends survive to mourn his passing. Friends may call on Saturday, November 28, 2009, after 10:00 AM. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2009, at 11:00 AM in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, with the Lynwood Baptist Church Minister: Pastor Mark Anderson of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, officiating. Interment will be in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri, with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri, in charge of arrangements.
