Hubert P. Browning Hubert Parker Browning, son of the late Myrtle Marie Browning, was born in Puxico, Missouri, on December 29, 1933, and passed away at St. Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, on December 3, 2009, at the age of 75 years, 11 months, and 4 days. He had lived in Puxico, Missouri, most of his life. He was a self-employed truck driver and farmer. He was a member of the Kinder General Baptist Church in Kinder, Missouri. His hobbies included hunting and fishing. On January 2, 1951, he was married to Laura Daniels in Marble Hill, Missouri. She still resides in Puxico, Missouri. Surviving are one son and daughter in law, Darrell and Georgeann Browning of Puxico, Missouri; one daughter and son in law, Judy and Darrel Allen of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; four grandchildren, Jason and Shelli Allen, Darren and Candice Allen, Miles and Chasity Browning, and Amanda and Cameron Jones; and five great-grandchildren, Kerigan Jones, Savannah Allen, Destiny Allen, Logan Moore, and Hannah Moore; one brother, Vernon Abernathy of Puxico, Missouri; three sisters, Rosemary Stroup of Puxico, Missouri, Betty Poe of Sturdivant, Missouri, and Lucille Walker of Arab, Missouri. Other relatives and many friends survive to mourn his passing. He was preceded in death by his mother, his grandparents, Charlie and May McMillion and one brother, Vernas Abernathy. Friends may call on Friday, December 4, 2009, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2009, at 10:00 AM in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Puxico, Missouri with Rev. Ray Placher of Puxico, Missouri officiating. Interment will be in the Fagan Cemetery near Puxico, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
