Helen Shipman White, daughter of the late George and Izaria Wells Crowe, was born Eldorado, Illinois on October 29, 1918, and passed away at the Heritage Oaks Nursing Home in Corsicana, Texas on January 7, 2006, at the age of 87 years, 2 months and 9 days.
She had lived in Dexter for many years before moving to Texas five years ago. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She was first married to James Curtis Shipman and he preceded her in death on February 13, 1958. On May 19, 1979, she was married to Eltee White in McDougal, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on November 26, 1993.
Surviving are one son, Gene Shipman of Corsicana, Texas; two grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two sisters, Gladys Sadler of Dexter, Missouri and Jean Fugate of Lebanon, Tennessee. Other relatives and many friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one son, Dean Shipman, two brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call from 1:00 to 3:00 PM on Tuesday, January 10, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, January 10, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with Bro. Dan Sitze of Bloomfield, Missouri officiating.
