Hazel Franks

Hazel Marie Franks of Dexter, daughter of the late Floyd and Gracie Mae Holmes Cullum, was born in New Madrid County, Missouri on February 24, 1941, and passed away at Southeast Healthcare of Stoddard County in Dexter, Missouri on October 20, 2014, at the age of 73 years, 7 months and 26 days. She had lived in Dexter most of her life. She was married to Jesse Monroe Franks and he preceded her in death in 2012. Surviving are two sons, Bobby Franks of Perryville, Kenneth Franks of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Ruby Mosier of Mineral Point, Mary Franks of Cincinnati, Ohio, Barbara Franks of Perryville; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two brothers, Roy Cullum of Bernie, Billy Gene Cullum of Dexter; and one sister, Linda Smith of Poplar Bluff. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one brother, Shirley Cullum and one sister, Helen Franks. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2014, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Watkins & Sons Funeral Service in Dexter, Missouri with Rev. Kenneth Biggs of Dexter officiating. Interment with be in the Bernie Cemetery in Bernie, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
