Hattie Nottingham, daughter of the late Samual Allen and Myrtie May Lincoln Harper, was born in Idalia, Missouri on March 20, 1913, and passed away at her home in St. Charles, Missouri on March 12, 2015, at the age of 101 years, 11 months and 20 days.
She had lived in Lincoln County and St. Charles, Missouri, most of her life. She was a member of the General Baptist Church. She volunteered for many years for The Salvation Army and at the Veteran's Administration Medical Center.
On December 3, 1938 she was married to Charles Junior "C. J." Huffman. He proceded her in death in 1987.
Surviving are daughters, Peggy Huffman of St. Charles, Missouri, Irma Norton of St. Charles, Missouri, and Linda May Gremminger of Bentonville, Arkansas; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; two step great great grandchildren; and three sisters, Sybil Lawrence of Dexter, Bessie Morlan of Bloomfield, and Marion Akins of Pelham, Alabama. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by two sons, Charles Huffman and Larry Joe Huffman, four sisters, and one brother.
Friends may call on Saturday, March 14, 2015, from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2015, at 2:00 pm with Rev. Kenneth Biggs of Dexter, Missouri at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Interment will be in the Walker Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
