Harold Eugene Pennington, the son of the late George and Lelia Varble Pennington, was born in Puxico, Missouri on February 5, 1925, and passed away at his home in Wappapello, Missouri on December 8, 2008, at the age of 83 years, 10 months and 3 days. Mr. Pennington had lived in Cape Girardeau and Marble Hill for 30 years with the ramaining years in Puxico and Wapppapello, Missouri. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Puxico, Missouri. He had been the bass singer for the Missourian Quartet and the Faithman Quartet. His favorite hobby was fishing. On June 10, 1947, he was married to Helen Andrews in Fornfelt, Missouri. Surviving are his wife, Helen Pennington of Wappapello, Missouri; one son and daughter in law, Dan & Jean Pennington of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; one daughter and son in law, Carolan & Ted Landewee of Leopold, Missouri; five grandchildren & spouses, Steve & Holly Landewee, Jamie & Denise Landewee, Sarah & Anthony Stewart, Daniel Pennington & Amber Pennington; nine great grandchildren, Leah, Jared, Grace & Avery Landewee, Caleb, Joseph, Thomas, Emily & Aaron Stewart. Other relatives and friends also survive. Graveside funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2008, at 11:00 AM in the Puxico Cemetery in Puxico, Missouri with the Rev. Luther Rhodes officiating. Interment will be in the Puxico Cemetery in Puxico, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
