Harold Junior Foster, of Bloomfield, son of the late Issac Howard and Susie Foster, was born in Maynard, Arkansas on December 7, 1929, and passed away at the V. A. Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on September 7, 2014, at the age of 84 years and 9 months.
He had lived in Bloomfield most of his life and had worked as a janitor at the Stoddard County Courthouse for twenty-four years. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army.
On December 11, 1955 he was married to Dorthey Aline Helms. She preceded him in death on December 15, 2005.
Surviving are two sons, Harold E. Foster and Danny West of Bloomfield; three daughters, Carol Harmon of Kansas City, Vicky Glass of Bloomfield, Sherry Clevenger of Marquand; eleven grandchildren; many great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; one brother, George Foster of Puxico and one sister, Kathryn Ruble of Kansas City. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Diana Holderfield, one brother, Harlan Foster, and three sisters, Mary Wooley, Joann Foster and Charlene Griffin.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, September 10, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Pastor Jimmy Fingers of Dexter officiating.
Interment with be in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with full military honors.
