Grace LeAnn Louis Wynn, the daughter of the late Richard and Lillie Washington Shaw, was born in Penola County, Mississippi, on May 14, 1915, and passed away at Missouri Delta Medical Center, in Sikeston, Missouri on September 6, 2007, at the age of 92 years, 3 months, and 23 days.
Mrs. Wynn moved to the Essex, Missouri area in 1959, and in 1984, she moved to Sikeston, Missouri. She was a home maker and a child care provider. She was a member of the Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston, Missouri.
In 1934 she was married to Relicious Wynn. He preceded her in death.
Surviving are two sons, Lucious Wynn of Sikeston, Missouri, Otis Wynn of Parma, Missouri; four daughters, Clara Hankins of Sikeston, Missouri, Grace Kelly of Crenshaw, Mississippi, Lillie Baker and Edna Herrion both of Sikeston, Missouri; 26 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; 36 great great grandchildren; one adopted sister, Deloris McComb of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; two sisters in law, Mozell Shaw of Malden, Missouri, Olivia Wynn of Sledge, Mississippi; two dedicated and faithful friends, Betty Ottinger and Minnie Strachan. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one brother, James Shaw, two grandsons Randy Wynn and James Erving, one great-grandson, Keke Wynn and one nephew, Lee Shaw.
Friends may call on Thursday September 13, 2007, after 10:00 AM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday September 13, 2007, at 1:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Herman Gardner of Sikeston, Missouri officiating.
Interment will follow in the Sunset Of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
