Gordon Randall Jones

Gordon Randall :"Randy" Jones, son of the late Hillis Ulysses and Bonnie Mae Lackey Jones, was born in Bloomfield, Missouri on March 5, 1953, and passed away at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on January 6, 2016, at the age of 62 years 10 months and 1 day. Gordon had lived in Puxico for many years, moved to Georgia and then to Jackson, Missouri thirteen years ago. He was of the Baptist Faith and had been attending the Cowboy Church. He was a member of the Puxico Masonic Lodge. He attended college and worked for the USDA as a Meat Inspector. Gordon served in the US Navy. He enjoyed farming and raising Hogs. Gordon also worked for several years at Arvin. On July 26, 1975, he was married to Debra Elaine Cochran in Kinder, Missouri. Surviving are his wife Debra Jones of Jackson, Missouri; two sons, Cameron Hillis and wife Amy of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Corey Wade Jones and fiancé David Addison of Carbondale Illinois; one stepson, Christopher Sean Wilkison and wife Julie of St. Louis, Missouri; three grandchildren; Keigan Jones of Wappapello, Emily Wilkinson of St. Louis, Missouri and Ciara Walker of Holcomb, Missouri; four brothers & wives, Stanley & Kathryn Jones of Grassey, Missouri, Steve & Shelia Jones of Puxico, Missouri, Rex & Belinda Jones of Jackson, Missouri, Kenneth & Trina Jones of Indianapolis, Indiana; one sister and husband, Bethel & Jason Covington of Houston, Texas. Other relatives and many friends also survive. He was preceded in death by two brothers; Ralph Kim Jones and one brother in infancy. Friends may call on Sunday, January 10, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 11, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Puxico, Missouri with Rev. Steve Jones of Puxico officiating and Rex Jones of Jackson, Missouri assisting.. Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
