Glendle Beaird

Glendle G. Beaird, the son of the late John Henry and Emma Newton Beaird, was born in Parma, Missouri on June 1, 1919, and passed away at the Portageville Nursing Center in Portageville, Missouri on September 18, 2008, at the age of 89 years, 3 months and 17 days. Mr. Beaird had lived all of his life in Parma before moving to Portageville less than one year ago. He had worked at Federal Mogul in Malden and was a member of the Church of Christ in Parma. On November 28, 1940, he was married to Flossie Juanita Garland. She preceded him in death on February 29, 2008. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. Other relatives and many friends also survive. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Sam and Willie Beaird, and two sisters, Lola Tucker and Maggie Mayberry. Friends may call on Saturday September 20, 2008, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Parma, Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 21, 2008, at 2:00 PM at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home In Parma, Missouri with Bro. Bud Mayes of Malden, Missouri officiating. Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery in Bernie, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Parma, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
