Gladys Marie Dodge

Gladys Marie Dodge "Nan", age 76 of Wappapello, Missouri passed away April 24, 2021 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Mrs. Dodge was born June 9, 1944, near East Prairie, Missouri to the late Willie Wallace and Lillie Mae (Phillippe) Zook. Gladys worked as a machine operator for many years, she lived in O'Fallon, Missouri before moving to Wappapello, Missouri with her husband in 1980.Gladys was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Wappapello, Missouri. Gladys married Larry Gene Dodge Sr. in East Prairie, Missouri on September 21, 1963. Nan as so many called her loved visiting, crocheting, canning, and making chicken & noodles for her grandchildren. Survivors are two sons Larry (Andrea) Dodge, Jr. and Wallace (Gloria) Dodge both of Jackson, Missouri; nine grandchildren Jonathan, Joshua, Justin, Sarah, Aaron, Levi, John, Amber, Katie; four great grandchildren Isaiah, Micaiah, Savannah, Abigail; one sister Mary Marcum of Wappapello, Missouri. Many friends and family also survive. Gladys was preceded in death by one son Mark Dodge; six brothers Robert, Earl, Jack, Wayne, Troy, and Everett Zook; two sisters Thelma Polston and Frances Smith. Visitation will be held at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri on Thursday April 29, 2021 from 10 am to 12 pm. Funeral service will be at 12 pm in the Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel in Puxico, Missouri with burial to follow at the Dogwood Cemetery in East Prairie, Missouri.
