George M. Quinton, the son of the late William Wesley and Iola Fletcher Quinton, was born in Snowdenville, Missouri on November 28, 1922, and passed away at the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter, Missouri on October 26, 2006, at the age of 83 years, 10 months and 28 days.
Mr. Quinton had lived in Dexter, Missouri all his life. He was a Veteran of the US Army serving in WWII. He worked as a school bus driver for 40 years for Dexter Public Schools. He was a member of the I.O.O.F. of Dexter and was of the Baptist Faith.
In 1943 he was married to Wilma Imogene Shell in Piggott, Arkansas.
Surviving are his wife Imogene Quinton of Dexter, Missouri; four sons: Roger and James Quinton both of Dexter, Bob Quinton of Grandin, Missouri, Gary Quinton of Sikeston, Missouri, one daughter: Ellen Rickman of Albany, Oregon; nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren. One sister, Shirley Stewart of Piedmont, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 30, 2006, at 1:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with Rev. Mike Foster of Dexter, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins and Sons Funeral Home of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements. Online register book is available at www.watkinsfuneralhome.com.
