Genevia A. Langston, daughter of the late Don and Lelia Marie Doublin Douglas, was born in Puxico, Missouri on April 29, 1924, and passed away at the Puxico Nursing Center in Puxico, Missouri on April 22, 2012, at the age of 87 years, 11 months and 24 days. Genevia had lived in Puxico all her life and was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Puxico. She loved to piece quilt tops and gardening. On December 27, 1943, she was married to Fenton Howard Langston, Sr. He preceded her in death on January 23, 2005. Surviving are one son & spouse, Howard & Debbie Langston of DeSoto, Missouri; four daughters & spouses, Linda & Vernon Wamsley of St. Louis, Missouri, Judy Richard of Puxico, Missouri, Mary Langston of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Penny & Mike Morrow of Wappapello, Missouri; ten grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; two brothers, D. L. Douglas of Puxico, Missouri, Dean Douglas of Texas; one sister, Carolyn Reasons of Union, Missouri; and her special friend & sister-in-law, Fern Douglas of Puxico, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Gale Ann Howard. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 24, 2012, after 5:00 p.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at the Watkins and Sons Chapel in Puxico with Rev. Doyle Mitchell of Puxico, Missouri officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery near Puxico, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico in charge of arrangements.
