Gary M. Rowland, Sr., son of the late Joseph H. and Artie A. Bullman Rowland, was born in Parma, Missouri on April 10, 1948, and passed away near Matthews, Missouri on October 3, 2006, at the age of 58 years, 5 months and 23 days. Mr. Rowland had lived most his life in Parma, Missouri. Gary was retired from Noranda Aluminum where he had worked for twenty-nine years. He was currently employed by Monsanto Seed Company in Matthews, Missouri. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Parma. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army National Guard. Surviving are three sons, Gary Max Rowland, Jr. of St. Louis, Missouri, Brian Keith Rowland of Campbell, Missouri, Jacob Kristopher Rowland of Memphis, Tennessee; one grandson, Ben M. Rowland; one brother, Danny A. Rowland of Dexter, Missouri; three sisters, Jane Evelyn Campbell and Marilyn Jeanette Ludwig both of Parma, Missouri, and Shirley Ann Corn of Texas. Other relatives and many friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one brother, Lelon Rowland. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, October 5, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Parma, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 6, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Parma, Missouri with the Rev. Randy Thomas of Sikeston, Missouri officiating. Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden, Missouri. Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Parma, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
