Gale Taylor, son of the late Warren and Violet Cook Taylor, was born in Piedmont, Missouri on November 29, 1941, and passed away at his home in Wappapello, Missouri on December 14, 2007, at the age of 66 years and 15 days.
Mr. Taylor had worked in Fenton at the Chrysler Motors plant and had lived there for twenty years. He moved to Wappapello seventeen years ago. He was a member of the Faith Apostolic Church and he enjoyed wood working and reading westerns.
On May 12, 1962, he was married to Betty Tanner in St. Louis, Missouri.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Taylor of Wappapello, Missouri; three sons, Gale Taylor, Jr. of Hematite, Missouri, Terry Taylor of Bonne Terre, Missouri, Michael Taylor of Wappapello, Missouri; one daughter, Amy Holmes of Wappapello, Missouri; eight grandchildren; one brother, Jerry Taylor of Benton, Missouri; two sisters, Jennie Helfer and Martha Broten both of Enola, Arkansas. Other relatives and many friends also survive. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Warren Taylor, Jr. and Dale Lambeth.
Friends may call on Monday, December 17, 2007, after 11:00 A.M. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, December 17, 2007, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Puxico, Missouri with the Rev. Dale Holman of Sturdivant, Missouri officiating.
Interment will follow in the Little Brushy Cemetery in Wappapello, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico, Missouri in charge of arrangements
