Freda Imogene Grim, the daughter of the late Millard and Bertha Chandler DeJournett, was born in Clines Island, Missouri on January 25, 1928 and passed away at the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter, Missouri on October 25, 2009 at the age of 81 years.
Mrs. Grim had lived in the Essex area all her life. She worked for many years at the Sikeston Hospital as a CNA.
On November 15, 1955, she was married to Earl Grim in St. Louis, Missouri. He preceded her in death on January 13, 2001.
Surviving are three daughters, Ann Bennett of Sunrise Beach, Missouri, Shirley Tucker of Dexter, Missouri, Sandy Kildow of Essex, Missouri; two sons, Terry Louis Grim of Bloomfield, Missouri, Jimmy Darrell Grim of Dexter, Missouri; 11 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and one Great-Great Grandchild. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one son, Gary Dale Grim; one grandson, Jeffery; four brothers, Theodore, Arvil, M. C. and Homer; and one sister, Arvella Cox.
Friends may call on Tuesday, October 27, 2009, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2009, at 1:00 PM in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. James Malloy of Essex, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in the Essex Cemetery in Essex, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
