Floyd Nichols, son of the late Murray and Ollie Orr Nichols, was born in Parma, Missouri on March 28, 1928, and passed away at the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on December 24, 2009, at the age of 81 years, 8 months and 26 days.
Mr. Nichols had lived in Parma all of his life. He was a member of the Parma General Baptist Church. He was a retired car dealer and was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force.
On December 3, 1949, he was married to Rose Lewis in Piggott, Arkansas.
Surviving are his wife, Rose Nichols of Parma, Missouri; two sons, Tony Nichols of Parma, Missouri, Mike (Barbra Cowan) Nichols of Malden, Missouri; one daughter, Lisa (Bill) Hilderbrand of Malden, Missouri; two grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three sisters, Treva Clift of Malden, Missouri, Maureen Stewart of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and Micky Garvalgia of St. Louis, Missouri. Several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, Murray Nichols and Ollie Orr Nichols Clark; one brother, George Nichols; and one sister, Lavonda Nichols.
Friends may call on Sunday, December 27, 2009, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Parma, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 28, 2009, at 2:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Parma, Missouri with Bro. Rev. Keith Kennedy of Catron, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Parma, Missouri in charge of arrangements
