Flossie Beaird

Flossie Beaird, the daughter of the late Jerry and Vevia Pearl Skelton Garland, was born in Malden, Missouri on July 7, 1919, and passed away at the Portageville Nursing Center in Portageville, Missouri on February 29, 2008, at the age of 88 years, 7 months and 22 days. Mrs. Beaird had lived most of her life in Parma before moving to Portageville. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Parma. She enjoyed crocheting and gardening. In 1940, she was married to Glendle G. Beaird. Surviving are her husband Glendle G. Beaird. Two brothers: Delbert J. Garland of Malden, Missouri and Thelbert R. Garland of Texas. One sister: Fay Carter of Paducah, Kentucky. Other relatives and many friends also survive. She was preceded in death by four brothers: Paul, Kenneth, Joe and Delmar Garland and one sister: Adell Lanier. Friends may call after 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM on Sunday March 2, 2008 at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Parma, Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 3, 2008, at 2:00 PM at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home In Parma, Missouri with Rev. Bud Mayes of Malden, Missouri officiating. Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery in Bernie, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Parma, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
