Flora Louise Hodge
Flora Louise Hodge, daughter of the late George and Orpha Leon Peters Cookson Stovall , was born in Puxico, Missouri on January 17, 1928, and passed away at her home in Puxico, Missouri on September 6, 2011, at the age of 83 years, 8 months and 19 days.
Mrs. Hodge was a lifelong resident of the Puxico area. She was a faithful member of the Egypt Community Church. She loved painting and gardening. She worked for many years as a store clerk at Cliff's Markets and as a cook for the Puxico Public Schools.
She was married to Floyd L. Hodge on January 11, 1947, in Piggott, Arkansas. He survives at their home in Puxico, MO.
She is also survived by one daughter, Sherry Ann and son-in-law Wayne Burchett of Puxico, Missouri; two grandchildren, one great grandchild, and one sister, Sara Joyce McCoy of Dexter, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceding in death by three brothers; Dewayne, Leon, and Elvis Eugene Stovalll and one sister Wilma Stovall.
Friends may call on Thursday, September 8, 2011, after 6:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 9, 2011, at 11:00 AM at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Puxico, Missouri with the Rev. Wayne Burchett of Puxico, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in the Puxico Cemetery in Puxico, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico in charge of arrangements.
