Eva Lois Cookson, daughter of the late William and Carrie Rister Klaffer, was born in Fisk, Missouri on July 29, 1919, and passed away at the Puxico Nursing & Rehab Center in Puxico, Missouri on January 29, 2013, at the age of 93 years.
She was a life long resident of Puxico and was a member of the Life Chapel Assembly of God Church in Puxico. She enjoyed her home, gardening and crocheting.
On August 20, 1938, she was married to Vader Cookson in Puxico, Missouri. He preceded her in death on November 10, 1995.
Surviving are one son, Dellis Cookson of Puxico, Missouri; one daughter, Carolyn Roberson of St. Louis, Missouri; four grandchildren, Sheree McClelland, Whitney Tegethoff, Kim Cookson and Ashley Cookson-Rodgers; nine great-grandchildren. Other family and friends also survive.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday January 30, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday January 31, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Watkins and Sons Chapel in Puxico, Missouri with the Rev. James Cookson of Springfield, Missouri officiating.
Interment will follow in the Brown Cemetery near Puxico, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico in charge of arrangements.
