Eva L. Appleton

Eva L. Appleton, the daughter of the late Jesse and Ettie McMahan Reeves, was born in Canalou, Missouri on July 11, 1920 and passed away at the St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri on July 20, 2006, at the age of 86 years and 10 days. Mrs. Appleton had lived in Canalou, Missouri before moving to St. Louis in 1951. She was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church in St. Louis, Missouri. On May 16, 1939, she was married to Sidney Walter Appleton in Canalou, Missouri. He preceded her in death on October 31, 1960. Surviving are five sons,Sidney Appleton Jr., Gary Appleton, Melvin Appleton,and Harold Appleton all of St. Louis, Missouri and Jerry Appleton of Wappapello, Missouri. One daughter: Carolyn Appleton of St. Louis, Missouri. 11 grandchildren; several great grandchildren. Other relatives and many friends also survive. Friends may call from 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM on Sunday, July 23, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Monday July 24, 2006, at 10:30 AM at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with Rev. Mike Watkins of Dexter, Missouri officiating. Interment will be in the Dexter Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins and Sons Funeral Home of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
