Eugene "Tex" Baldwin, Jr. Eugene "Tex" Baldwin, Jr., son of Helen W. Patten and the late Eugene Baldwin, Sr., was born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on July 16, 1946, and passed away at the Veteran's Administration Medical Center in Muskogee, Oklahoma on September 22, 2010, at the age of 64 years. Tex had lived in Las Vegas, Nevada before moving to Tulsa, Oklahoma many years ago. He had worked as a composer, music producer and camerman. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force. On January 15, 1978, he was married to Patricia Joe Anne Welsh in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Surviving are his wife, Patricia Baldwin of Tulsa, Oklahoma; mother Helen Patton, past chief operator in Dexter at Southwestern Bell, and step father, Gordon Patten of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one step-brother, Jeff Patten of Ft. Worth, Texas; three step-sisters, Jennifer Frist of Nashville, Tennessee, Jan Shackelford of Skitook, Oklahoma, Julie Sullivan of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one brother, Mitchell Daniel Fralick; and his maternal grandparents, Joe Clyde and Era Lee Lucius. Visitation will be Monday, September 27, 2010, after 11:00 AM at Watkins & Sons Funeral Service in Dexter, Missouri. Services will be held Monday, September 27, 2010, at 1:00 PM in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with his cousin, the Rev. Mike Watkins of Dexter, Missouri officiating. Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter is in charge of arrangements.
