Ethridge Reynolds, the son of the late Elvis George and Gladys Irby Reynolds, was born in Bernie, Missouri on August 16, 1934, and passed away at his home in Elgin, Illinois on December 11, 2005, at the age of 71 years, 3 months and 25 days.
Mr. Reynolds lived in Bernie before moving to Elgin, Illinois over 50 years ago. He was a tile setter and had worked for Coleman Flooring and G. M. Sloan Tile. He was a veteran of the U S Army having served during the Korean Conflict. During the conflict he was a P.O.W.
On October 24, 1961, he was married to Carolyn Sue Fleenor.
Surviving are his wife Carolyn Sue Reynolds of Elgin, Illinois; one son, Houston Dale (Karla) Reynolds of Wappapello, Missouri; two daughters, Rhonda Kay (Garrett) Knudson of New Jersey, Carrie Sue (Robert) Scott of Elgin, Illinois; eight grandchildren; three sisters, Fay Bunch and Sue (Kenneth) Dock both of Dexter, Missouri, and Yvonne Hopkins of Spring Hill, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one brother, Elvis George Reynolds, Jr. and three sisters, Lois Mitchell, Janice Fowler, and Helen McBride.
Friends may call from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. on Friday, Decemeber 16, 2005, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 16, 2005, at 11:00 A.M. in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri.
Interment will be at a later date with Watkins and Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
