Essye Mae Cato

Essye Mae Cato Essye Mae Cato, the daughter of the late Cassie (Jack) and Murl Stroup Watson was born in Kinder, Missouri on August 6, 1931, and passed away at the St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri on March 4, 2005, at the age of 73 years, 6 months and 26 days. She had lived in the Kinder area until moving to St. Louis in 1952. She was a homemaker but had worked as a certified nurses aid for eight years. She was a member of the Church of God and the Mother's Club. On November 6, 1948, she was married to James Cato in Bloomfield, Missouri. She is survived by her husband: James Cato of St. Louis, Missouri, two sons: James Dale (Penny) Cato of St. Louis, Missouri, Larry Gale (Bell) Cato of Cibolo, Texas, four daughters: Beverly (Robert) Engler, Barbara (Allen) Seaton, LeDeana (Bob) Stahl and LeDonna Cato all of St. Louis, Missouri. Eight grandchildren: Kimberly Cato-Smith, Kelly Cato, Linda & Ganda Cato, Kristy Wimer, Rachael Taljaard, Jason Allen, Makayla Stahl. Two great grandchildren: Troy Smith, Cameron Taljaard. Two great grandchildren due to be born Samatha Jeanne Smith in May of 2005 and Joseph Alexander Wimer in June of 2005. One sister: Almedia Eichhorn of Pevely, Missouri, two nephews and one niece also survive. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Daniel James Allen. Friends may call at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico on Monday, March 7, 2005, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2005, at 11:00 AM in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Puxico, Missouri with Bro. Gary Cooper of Advance, Missouri officiating. Interment will follow in the Brush Creek Cemetery near Arab, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico Missouri in charge of arrangements.
