Ernest "Bud" Perry, son of the late William Leslie and Myrtle Neal Perry, was born in Avert, Missouri on February 10, 1923, and passed away at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on April 27, 2011, at the age of 88 years, 2 months and 17 days.
He had lived in St. Louis, Missouri and California before returning to Parma in 1960. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving during WWII. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Parma, Missouri.
On March 31, 1944, he was married to Myrtle A. Allen in St. Louis, Missouri.
Surviving are his wife, Myrtle A. Perry of Parma, Missouri; one son, Alan W. Perry of St. Louis, Missouri; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and one half-brother, Donald Perry of Fredericktown, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by three sons, Stephen Dwain Perry and two in infancy, Ernest Lee and George Michael Perry and one sister, Clara Genevieve Sweet.
Visitation will be Monday, May 2, 2011, after 10:00 AM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Parma, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 2, 2011, at 1:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Parma, Missouri with the Rev. Cory Godsey of Risco, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in the Parma Cemetery in Parma, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Parma, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
