Erma L. Warren, daughter of the late Fred and Stella Robinson Melton, was born near Dexter, Missouri on March 11, 1924, and passed away at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on November 7, 2010, at the age of 86 years, 7 months and 27 days.
She had lived in Dexter, Missouri all her life. She was a long time member of the South Pleasant Valley Church near Dexter, Missouri. She had worked at Elder's Manufacturing in Dexter for many years.
On July 5, 1943, she was united in marriage to Floyd G. Warren in Malden, Missouri. He preceded her in death on January 9, 1982.
Surviving are one daughter & spouse, Kay & Jim Smith of Dexter, Missouri; one granddaughter, Beth Anne Smith of Dexter, Missouri; two great grandchildren, Nuranda Lynn Tucker and Bradley Kyle Swallows both of Dexter, Missouri; one brother, Frank Melton of Millington, Tennessee; two sisters, Doris Hoopingarner of Dexter, Missouri and Bessie Simpson of Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one son, Terry Wayne Warren; one grandson, Michael Dale Smith; five brothers, Charles, Bill, Harold, Leamon and Paul Melton; one sister, Marsha Rainey.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 9, 2010, after 10:00 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Services will be held Tuesday, November 9, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with the Rev. Kenneth Biggs of Dexter, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in the Triplett Cemetery near Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
