Erica Lyn Gentry of Dexter, daughter of Steve & Terri Bishop, was born in Sikeston, Missouri on April 1, 1986, and passed away at the Southeast Health Care of Stoddard County in Dexter, Missouri on September 8, 2014, at the age of 28 years, 5 months and 7 days.
She had lived in Sikeston before moving to Dexter, Missouri in 1998. She had a Bachelor of Arts in Music and was a member of the Shady Acres Church of Christ in Sikeston. Her passion was her music and she enjoyed cross stitching.
Surviving are her parents, Steve & Terri Bishop of Dexter; two brothers, Christian and Gabriel Gentry both of Sikeston; one sister, Jessica Gentry of Sikeston; her paternal grandmother, Lenora Bishop of Dexter; her maternal grandparents, Lewis & Irene Phillips of Sikeston. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Everett Bishop and grandparents, W. H. & Dorothy Gentry.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2014, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Shady Acres Church of Christ, 1440 Ables Rd., Sikeston, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 12, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at the Shady Acres Church of Christ in Sikeston, Missouri with Bro. Harold Luscombe of Paducah, Kentucky officiating.
Interment will be in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
