Elnora Elaine Sawyer Elnora Elaine Sawyer, the daughter of the late Hugh and Sadie Allen Hester, was born in Caruthersville, Missouri on March 1, 1924 and passed away at Malden Nursing and Rehab in Malden, Missouri on May 3, 2005, at the age of 81 years, 2 months and 2 days. Mrs. Sawyer was a housewife and had lived in Caruthersville, Missouri until 1955 when she moved to Dexter. On March 23, 1942, she was married to Cellar Sawyer at Caruthersville, Missouri. He preceded her in death on February 19, 1975. Surviving are one son: Danny Sawyer of Dexter, Missouri, four daughters: Anita Wyatt of Dexter, Missouri, Barbara Rushin of Providence, Kentucky, Ann Henson of Festus, Missouri and Darlia Owens of Parma, Missouri, fourteen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and one sister: Pearl Cahow of Dexter, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one daughter: Elaine Scowden who died on August 6, 2003. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 5, 2005 at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 6, 2005, at 1:00 P.M. in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with Rev. John Ruddick of Dexter, Missouri officiating. Interment will be in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter , Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
