Elizabeth Ann Newman

Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Newman of Bloomfield, Missouri, daughter of the late Walter and Katherine (Early) Martin was born on November 23, 1935 in Henderson, Kentucky and passed away on May 31, 2022 in New Madrid, Missouri at the age of 86 years. She was a member of The First Christian Church in East Prairie, Missouri and then a member of the Puxico Christian Church of Puxico. Betty loved animals, horses and nature. She was a school teacher for many years for the East Prairie School District. Betty married Raymond Edward Newman in 1955 in East Prairie, Missouri until his passing on November 05, 1974. Betty is survived by two daughters Robin Newman of Bloomfield, Missouri and Rita Kaye (David) Glenn of Bridgeton, Missouri and one sister Nona Margaret Loux of Buffalo, Minnesota. She is preceded in death by her parents Walter and Katherine Martin, her husband Raymond Newman and two brothers. A host of family and friends also survive. Visitation will be on Friday June 03, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri. Funeral Services will be held on Friday June 03, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel in Puxico, Missouri with Pastor Ken Sisson officiating the service with Watkins and Sons Funeral Home of Puxico in charge of all arrangements.
