Edward Dallas McRoy, son of the late Bud and Ollie B. Pruitt McRoy, was born on August 24, 1929, in Bloomfield, Missouri, and died at his residence on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at the age of 82 years, 2 months, and 20 days.
Edward was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served as an airplane mechanic during the Korean War. He was a retired truck driver and had served as a City Alderman for Bloomfield in 1990.
In 1948 he was united in marriage to Gloria Jean Becraft. She survives at their home in Bloomfield, Missouri.
Surviving are, one son and daughter-in-law, Dallas and Linda McRoy of Bloomfield, Missouri; two daughters, Teresa Barnes and Darlene Bowling, both of Bloomfield, Missouri; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Many other friends and relatives also survive. He was preceded in death by one great-grandson, Jermy Tyre Wilson.
Friends may call on Friday, November 18, 2011 after 11:00 AM at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 18, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield Missouri with Rev. Bob Holland officiating.
Internment will be at the Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield, Missouri with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri in charge of all arrangements.
