Edna Mae Harget, 87 of Dexter, Missouri passed away January 6,2021. She was the born to the late Elzie Floyd and Helen Winona Coggins Smith on May 22, 1933 in Dexter, Missouri.
Edna is survived by her four children Robert & Brenda Harget, of Hillsboro, Missouri, David Harget, of Van Bureau, Missouri, Marty Harget, of Dexter, Missouri, Rebecca Harget-Dawson, of Chesapeake, Virginia; her grandchildren, RJ & Sara Harget, Chelse & Ian Dittemore, Anna & Heath Harget-Toups, Rachel Southard, and Lora Bethany O'Connor they brought joy to her life. She had nine great grand children; Kyler, Claire, Carter, Kinsley, Jase, Lucas, Charlie, Olive, and Heath Jr, by one sister Donna Kendrick of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; one brother James Q. Smith of Poplar Bluff, Missouri. And her special pug dog, Buddy.
Edna lived in Poplar Bluff, and was an Accountant for over forty years. She moved to Virginia and spent her retirement years being active in bowling, ymca, sassy seniors, volunteered at AARP senior tax aid, she also liked gardening and hummingbirds.
As timed passed on she wanted to go back to her home in Dexter and spend time with all of her friends and family in Missouri that survive her. She was preceded in death by four brothers Sherman, Johnny, Charles, and Larry Smith. A host of family and friends also survive.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 11, 2021 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. Family requesting all visitors wear mask and practice social distancing.
Private Family Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday January 12, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Steve Tippen of Bloomfield, Missouri officiating.
Interment will follow in the Hill's Cemetery with Watkins and Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
