Dulcia Law

Dulcia Buchanan Law, daughter of the late Lihue and Ida Ross Shull, was born in Puxico, Missouri on September 19, 1917, and passed away at the Clearview Nursing Home in Sikeston, Missouri on February 19, 2013, at the age of 95 years and 5 months. She lived in the Puxico and Sikeston areas, was a home maker, wife and mother. She was a former member of the First Baptist Church in Puxico and was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Sikeston. On February 22, 1936, she was married to Elbert Thell Buchanan in Puxico. He preceded her in death on July 2, 1977. She later married David Law in Bernie and he preceded her in death. Surviving are one daughter, Phyllis Buchanan Ryan of Morehouse, Missouri; one son & spouse, Terry & Carol Buchanan of Puxico, Missouri; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Other family and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by five sisters, Faye Byrum, Nell Huff, Peggy Scott, Margie Hickman and Rita Chaney. Visitation will be held on Friday February 22, 2013, after 11:00 AM at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Friday February 22, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the Watkins and Sons Chapel in Puxico, Missouri with the Rev. Joe McCollum pastor of the Fellowship Baptist Chruch in Sikeston, Missouri officiating. Interment will follow in the Puxico Cemetery in Puxico, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico in charge of arrangements.
