Dorothy Louise Sayre Dorothy Louise Sayre of Dexter MO, daughter of the late Luther and May Cates, was born in Bloomfield, MO on October 15, 1925, and passed away at her home in Dexter, MO on June 8, 2020, at the age of 94 years. She lived in the Dexter area most of her life. Dorothy enjoyed being a housewife, cooking, playing the piano and studying her Bible. Dorothy married Silas Sayre on June 11, 1947 in Cape Girardeau, MO he preceded her in death on April 09, 2013. Surviving is her son, Samuel Sayre (Sandy Faulkner) of Dexter, MO; three grandchildren, Sarah Jones, Brittney Sayre and Victoria Jacobs; 7 great grandchildren; one sister, Novella McLard of Dexter, MO. Other relatives and friends survive. Graveside visitation will be held on Friday, June 12, 2020 at 11 am. at the Dexter Cemetery. Rev. Kenneth Biggs of Dexter, MO officiating and Watkins and Sons Funeral Home of Dexter will be in charge of all the arrangements.
