Dorothy Doublin

Dorothy Christine Doublin, the daughter of the late Daniel Boone and Carrie Ann Hopkins Canady, was born in Bloomfield, Missouri on December 12, 1918, and passed away at the Rosewood Care Center in East Peoria, Illinois on August 29, 2008, at the age of 89 years, 8 months and 17 days. Mrs. Doublin had lived in Puxico and Kinder areas most of her life before moving to Illinois 2 years ago. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church. On October 19, 1935 she was married to Herman Alvin Doublin in Puxico, Missouri. He preceded her in death on October 15, 1985. Surviving are her son Mark Doublin and her daughter Carol J. Ring both of Peoria, Illinois; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild. Many other friends and family also survive. She was preceded in death by one son, John Dean Doublin and one sister, Vivian P. Williams. Graveside funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2008, at 10:00 AM at the Puxico Cemetery in Puxico, Missouri. Interment will follow in the Puxico Cemetery in Puxico, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
