Dorothy Callahan

Dorothy L Callahan of Festus, Missouri born to the late Euell and Ruby (Hodge) Page on February 09, 1943 in Puxico, Missouri passed away at Mercy hospital in St Louis, Missouri on October 13, 2021 at the age of 78 years, 8 months & 4 days. Dorothy married Darrell Callahan on December 18th 1963. They owned Callahan's Southern Kitchen in Imperial, Missouri and then in Arnold, Missouri for a total of 18 years. She enjoyed crocheting, camping, word puzzles, playing aggravation with friends & family. Dorothy is survived by her husband Darrell Callahan; three sons Keith (Liz) Callahan of Pevely, Missouri, Kenny (Cathy) Callahan of Greenville, Missouri and Randy (Tammy) Callahan of Festus, Missouri; one daughter Ronda Lampley of Festus, Missouri; one grandson Danny Callahan of Festus, Missouri; six step grandchildren, and thirteen step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters Mary Lou (Hobart) Scott and Donis (Kenneth) Wheetley. A host of family and friends also survive. The family wants to extend a special thank you to Patient Care Tech Judy Dorothy enjoyed her company and her personal care went above and beyond. A special thank you to her pulmonologist Dr. Matuschak for all the care & compassion he gave. An extra special thank you to her grandson Danny for all the love and care you gave to grandma. Visitation will be held on Tuesday October 19, 2021 from 10:00 to 12:00 p.m. at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri. Funeral Services will be held on October 19, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. with Brother Johnny Gibosn of Van Buren, Missouri officiating. Watkins and Sons Funeral Service in charge of arrangements. Interment will follow at Rock Hill Cemetery in Puxico, Missouri.
