Dorothy S. Brantley, daughter of the late Sidney A. and Safaronie Spradling Campbell, was born in Holcomb, Missouri on June 12, 1914, and passed away at the Westwood Hills Health Care Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on May 27, 2007, at the age of 92 years, 11 months and 15 days.
Mrs. Brantley had lived in Webb, Elk, Broseley, McGee and had made her home in Greenville, Missouri for the past several years. She was a member of the Shady Dell Baptist Church and was a loving mother and grandmother.
On January 15, 1933, she was married to Levi Lee Brantley in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on October 17, 1995.
Surviving are two daughters, Mary Thompson of Greenville, Missouri, Joyce Smith of Peoria, Illinois; one son, Sidney Brantley of Bridgeton, Missouri; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and one sister, Katheryn Kittredge of Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Other relatives and many friends also survive. She was preceded in death one great grandson, Patrick Mally; six brothers, Thomas, Clifford, Norman, Carl, Kirk and Augustin Campbell; and one sister, Agnes Harris.
Friends may call on Wednesday, May 30, 2007, after 11:00 A.M. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 30, 2007, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Puxico, Missouri with the Rev. Dean Medlin of Parma, Missouri officiating.
Interment will follow in the Shiloh Cemetery in Shook, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
