Dorothy Marie Billingsley, the daughter of the late Lewis J. and Doris H. Beach Rogers, was born in Saginaw County, Michigan on October 10, 1918, and passed away at her home near Lowndes, Missouri on September 18, 2008, at the age of 89 years, 11 months and 8 days.
Mrs. Billingsley had lived in Dexter and Bernie areas since 1950 and had moved to Lowndes in 1976. She was a member of the Community Church of Christ near Lowndes, Missouri.
On February 11, 1939, she was married to Raymond C. Billingsley in Gladwin County, Michigan. He preceded her in death on May 1, 1995.
Surviving are three sons, Curt, Terry and Rick Billingsley all of Lowndes, Missouri; one daughter, Sandra Knight of Lowndes, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; two brothers, Arthur and Jack Rogers both of Lowndes, Missouri; three sisters, Lottie Meese of Lowndes, Missouri, Annabelle Schearer of Midland, Michigan and Darlene Ross of Dexter, Missouri. Other relatives and many friends also survive. She was preceded in death by five brothers: Charles, Richard, Sherman and Lewis Rogers, Russell McLean; one sister, Leona Chubb; one daughter in infancy and one grandchild in infancy.
Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Saturday September 20, 2008, at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter Missouri.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 21, 2008, at 10:00 AM at the Community Church of Christ near Lowndes, Missouri with Bro. Jack Rogers of Lowndes, Missouri and Bro. Dale Rogers of Dexter, Missouri officiating.
Interment will follow in the Community Church of Christ Cemetery near Lowndes, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
