Doris Illig

Doris M. Illig, the daughter of the late Clyde Dennis and Georgia Mae Williams Hickam, was born in Carbondale, Illinois on November 24, 1943, and passed away at the Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter, Missouri on October 5, 2008, at the age of 64 years, 10 months and 11 days. She had spent many years in Illinois living in Cutler, Ava, Chester and Colp. She moved to Dexter in 2004 and was a member of the First Pentecostal Church in Dexter, Missouri. On July 12, 1968, she was married to William Arthur Illig in Cutler, Illinois. He preceded her in death on October 3, 1996. Surviving are two daughters, Melody Sumner and Christy Tucker both of Dexter, Missouri; five grandchildren; one brother, Terry Hickam of Percy, Illinois; one sister, Judy Alvey of Dardanelle, Arkansas. Other relatives and many friends also survive. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday October 7, 2008, at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter Missouri. Vistation will also be held from 1:00 PM until funeral time on Wednesday, October 8, 2008, at the Tri County Pentecostal Church in Cutler, Illinois. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2008, at 2:00 PM at the Tri County Pentecostal Church in Cutler, Illinois with Pastor Joseph Geuin of Dexter, Missouri officiating and the Rev. Marcus Geuin of Dexter, Missouri assisting. Interment will follow in the Cutler Cemetery in Cutler, Illinois with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements
