Doris Catron

Doris J. Catron, daughter of the late Vernon and Flora Keathley Bell, was born in Monette, Arkansas on July 15, 1928, and passed away at the Cypress Point Skilled Nursing Center in Dexter, Missouri on July 15, 2009, at the age of 81 years. Mrs. Catron had lived in Jefferson County and St. Louis for twenty years before moving back to Parma in 1978. She had worked as a cook at nursing homes and a clerk at a grocery store. She enjoyed hand quilting. On July 19, 1947, she was married to Franklin Junior Catron in Piggott, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on May 29, 1980. Surviving are two sons, Jim Catron of Salem, Missouri, Dan Catron of Parma, Missouri; five grandchildren; several great grandchildren; one brother, Ernie Bell of Dexter, Missouri; two sisters, Eva Jane Gregory of Dexter, Missouri, Edith Dozier of Parma, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Wilda Sue Catron and Sabrina Kay Catron. Friends may call on Friday July 17, 2009, from 12:00 to 1:30 PM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Parma, Missouri. Graveside services will be held on Friday July 17, 2009, at 1:30 PM at the Parma Cemetery in Parma, Missouri Interment will be in the Parma Cemetery in Parma, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Parma, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
