Doris Barber

Doris Lee Barber, daughter of the late John Louis and Stella May Nelson Barber, was born in Dexter, Missouri on March 28, 1933, and passed away at her home in Dexter, Missouri on May 16, 2010, at the age of 77 years, 1 month and 18 days. She had lived in Dexter, Missouri all of her life. She was a member of the Second General Baptist Church in Dexter, Missouri and was retired from Elders Manufacturing. She was a member of the Eastern Star Chapter #311 in Dexter, Missouri. Surviving are one brother and sister in law, Harold & Doris Barber of Dexter, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews. Other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald L. Barber and John Harlan Barber and two sisters, Mildred Goedert and Ruth Williams. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 18, 2010, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. Services will be held Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at 2:00 PM in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with the Rev. Josh Carpenter of Dexter, Missouri officiating. Interment will be in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
