Don L Robinett, the son of the late Arthur L. and Allie May Jobe Robinett, was born in Donphan, Missouri on March 27, 1928, and passed away at the Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter, Missouri on May 3, 2008, at the age of 80 years, 1 month and 6 days.
Mr. Robinett had lived in Dexter, Missouri most of his life. He was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church and was a veteran of the U. S. Army where he served in Korea.
On May 29, 1953, he was married to Mary Helen Phillips in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Helen Robinett of Dexter, Missouri; one daughter, Gail Acton of Dexter, Missouri; four sons, Richard "Ricky" Phillips of Stoney Point, North Carolina, Donnie Robinett of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Phillip and Roger Robinett both of Dexter, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren; one great grandchild; one sister, Letha Woodruff of Bloomfield, Missouri; and one brother, Wayne Robinett of Oreo, Missouri. Many other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by five brothers, Lawrence, Lonnie, Lloyd, Harry and Charlie Robinett, and three sisters, Euretha Powers, Sylvia Greer and Letha Putman.
Friends may call on Tuesday, May 6, 2008, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2008, at 11:00 AM at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Lonnie Mittag of Dexter, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Missouri Military Honors. Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
