Devona Harmon, of Puxico, daughter of the late David E. and Dora E. Simmons Harmon, was born in Desha, Arkansas on March 5, 1925, and passed away at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on October 7, 2016, at the age of 91 years, 7 months and 2 days.
Mrs. Harmon had lived in Arkansas and Texas but had spent most of her life in Missouri and the Puxico area. She was a member of the Duck Creek Missionary Baptist Church near Puxico. She had worked at Inland Shoe in the production department, was a home maker and she enjoyed gardening, quilting, and sewing.
She married Hudson Harmon and he preceded her in death on September 5, 1994.
Surviving are three sons, Terry Harmon, Michael Harmon and Glen Harmon all of Puxico; one daughter, Donna Tucker of Bloomfield; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Other relatives and many friends also survive.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, October 10, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Duck Creek Cemetery near Puxico, Missouri with Bro. Rick Beam of Paducah, Kentucky officiating.
Interment will follow in the Duck Creek Cemetery near Puxico, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
