Denzil Gregory, son of the late Ulesses Sterl and Ada Evelyn Pyle Gregory, was born on October 6, 1929, in Bernie, Missouri and passed away at the Baisch Nursing Center in DeSoto, Missouri on April 16, 2016, at the age of 86 years, 6 months and 10 days.
He had been a resident of Poplar Bluff, Missouri before moving to Pevely, Missouri in 1961. He had worked as a machinist for the Dorris Motor Co.
On October 9, 1954, he was married to Betsy Louise Hoxworth in Hernando, Mississippi. She preceded him in death on July 14, 2013.
Surviving are two daughters, Debbie Harter of Festus, Missouri and Cheryl Robinson of Manchester, Missouri; one son, Wayne Gregory of Dellwood, Missouri; ten grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two sisters, Lois Carpenter of Salem, Missouri and Mildred Hardin of Hazelwood, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one brother, Dawsey Gregory.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2016, after 11:30 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with the Rev. Kenneth Lambert of Bloomfield officiating.
Interment will follow in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
