Delmer A. Pruitt, the son of the late Ambrose Lewis and Lula Mae Hull Pruitt, was born near Dexter, Missouri on December 25, 1924, and passed away at the Cypress Point Healthcare Facility in Dexter, Missouri on November 29, 2006, at the age of 81 years, 11 months and 4 days.
Mr. Pruitt had lived in the Dexter and Poplar Bluff area most of his life. He had owned Pruitt Glass from 1960 to 1972. He was a past member of the Dexter Elks Lodge and was one of the charter members. He was also a past member of the Lions Club.
On August 17, 1995, he was married to Pauline A. Williamson in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Surviving are his wife, Pauline Pruitt of Dexter, Missouri; one daughter, Pamela Duley of Dexter, Missouri; two step-sons, Kenneth Walters of Dexter, Missouri, Charles Walters of Estes Park, Colorado; two granddaughters; and one sister, Susie Griffin of Memphis, Tennessee. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by eleven brothers and sisters.
Friends may call after 11:00 AM on Friday, December 1, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 1, 2006, at 1:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Bill Garrett of Bernie, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins and Sons Funeral Home of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
