Della Jean Green, daughter of the late John E. and Irean Arnold Robinson, born in Flint, Michigan, February 25, 1931, and passed away at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau on December 1, 2009, at the age of 78 years.
She lived in Dexter before moving to Bloomfield, Missouri after her marriage. She was an original charter member of the Bloomfield Assembly of God Church.
On March 19, 1949, she was married to August Albert Green in Piggott, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on November 12. 2002.
Surviving are two sons, Gary (Flora) Green of Poplar Bluff, Terry (Evelyn) Green of Dexter; two daughters, Peggy (Chuck) Gutterman of Poplar Bluff, Lora (Mark) Coots of Cape Girardeau; seven grandchildren, Kristi (Nick) Nourie of Kansas City, Kyle Gutterman, Caleb Coots, and Alyssa Coots all of Cape Girardeau, Chad Gutterman and Brian (Stacy) Green of Poplar Bluff, Shaunti (Roy) Williams of Dexter, two great grandchildren, Tyler and Allie Green of Poplar Bluff; one brother, Clarence O. Robinson of New Florence. Other relatives and friends survive. Preceding her in death, sisters, Ella Fay Baker, Doris Stiz and two in infancy, Alice & Ruby Robinson.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 2, 2009, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Services will be held Thursday, December 3, 2009, 10:00 AM in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Dwight Hensley of Bloomfield officiating.
Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery near Puxico with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
