Davonte Lafonse Handy Davonte Lafonse Handy, the son of Ben Handy and Dara Vaughn, was born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on December 31, 2004, and passed away at the St. Louis Children's Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri on May 26, 2005, at the age of 4 months and 27 days. Surviving are his father, Ben Handy, mother, Dara Vaughn both of Dexter, Missouri; one brother, Damian Handy of Dexter, Missouri; maternal grandfather, Larry Vaughn of Bloomfield, Missouri; maternal grandmother, Linda Vaughn of Dexter, Missouri; and maternal great grandmother, Christine Schacherbaur of Dexter, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive. Friends may call from 9:00 AM to 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, May 31, 2005 at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri. Graveside funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2005, at 10:30 A.M. in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery near Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Daniel Martin of Dexter, Missouri officiating. Interment will be in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of local arrangements.
