David Medlin

David Denton Medlin David Denton Medlin, son of the late Claud Levi, Sr. and Julia Anna Stinson Medlin, was born in Maple Grove near Malden, Missouri on April 4, 1939, and passed away at the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter, Missouri on May 13, 2009 at the age of 70 years, 1 month and 9 days. Mr. Medlin had lived in the Dexter area all his life. He had been a contractor, carpenter and brick layer before his retirement. He was a past member of the Dexter Eagles Aerie. He had a strong faith in God and was baptised by Pastor Jimmy Kirby at the Crowley Ridge Care Center. On August 27, 1994, he was married to Maria A. Perez Clonch in Dexter, Missouri. Surviving are his wife, Maria A. Medlin of Dexter, Missouri; three children, Daniel Clonch of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Angie McCoy of Malden, Missouri, Terri Buff of Farrell, Pennsylvania; eight grandchildren; three step-children, Kathy Riley, Danny Ray Riley and Randy Riley all of St. Joseph, Missouri; two brothers, Claude Levi Medlin, Jr. of Grassy, Missouri, Willis Harold Medlin of Marion, Indiana; two sisters, Dorothy VanderMolen of Muskegon, Michigan, and Zelpha McCann of Marion, Indiana. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one brother, Everett Medlin and two sisters, Edith Davis and Geraldine Richter. Friends may call on Saturday, June 6, 2009, after 10:00 AM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. Memorial Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2009, at 11:00 AM in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with Sister Kathy Medlin of Grassy, Missouri officiating.
